This book is a microcosm of the military history of a small town located near the Canadian border in upstate New York. It started when author and WWII Veteran James Rochester was looking at his mother's newspaper scrapbook from the great war and decided to reprint it along with other local collections. Each page tells a personal story of the men and women that served this nation from the War of 1812 through Afghanistan. With 318 pages of newspaper reprints and many photos provided by the families that served.
